Description
Responsible for consolidation and financial reporting for both internal and external reporting purposes. Manages the corporate accounting function.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares monthly consolidation of Company results, including all elimination and consolidation adjustments, preparation of the monthly financial reporting package and analytical review of consolidated results
Manages the month end closing process for all corporate entities. Prepares and reviews journal entries, account analyses, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Performs analytical review to identify potential accounting issues/errors.
Responsible for equity accounting, hedge accounting and weighted average share calculations.
Assists in drafting SEC filings (Form 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks and proxies) and quarterly earnings releases. Maintains supporting documentation
Assists in researching and implementing new accounting pronouncements
Provides requested client assistance to external auditors, including analysis and schedule preparation
Responsible for user maintenance of accounting and consolidation systems
Effectively supervises, develops and motivates staff
Complete ad hoc analysis and projects as needed

Qualifications
Education, Qualifications & Working Conditions
Bachelors degree with emphasis in Accounting/Finance or related field
CPA preferred
Minimum 5-7 years accounting/reporting experience, with at least 2 years of public company experience
Consolidation experience required
Sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and SEC accounting/reporting requirements
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Extensive experience with accounting and consolidation software systems
Prior supervisory experience effectively leading and developing subordinates
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the Company
Detail-oriented and accurate
Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise professional judgment to resolve complex accounting challenges

Salary: To $95,000,   Location: West San Fernando Valley
