Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree or other 4 year university degree

-Minimum of 10 years experience in integrated marketing

Preferred Skills:

-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or public relations

-MBA or MS in Marketing

-Global marketing experience

Job Summary:

The Marketing Senior Executive directs all Health & Life Sciences industry marketing initiatives and programs, including the management of internal and external resources such as marketing services and/or third party service providers. This position directs the management of all investment and/or operations budgets. Additional responsibilities include management of joint marketing and communications with all alliances supporting the H&LS group and delivery on opportunity and client centric marketing campaigns. This job has global responsibility and a multi-channel focus.

Key Responsibilities:

· Is a member of H&LS Steering Committee, along with industry leadership.

· Develops and oversees the delivery of the H&LS marketing strategy and plan.

· Manages a team of 3-4 FTE’s and appropriate shared services professionals.

· Influences industry executive leadership and client groups to fund and sponsor the appropriate marketing strategy and tactics.

· Directs and delivers on opportunity and client centric marketing campaigns.

· Directs the planning, development and execution of strategic industry marketing and communications initiatives in close collaboration with industry executive leadership and with input from client groups as appropriate.

· Establishes market/competitor/target client research as input to business plans, positioning and external marketing and communications plans.

· Sets the direction of strategic external positioning and messages that place the industry in the context of the wider company agenda and the marketplace.

· Guide and direct thought leadership and other marketing collateral initiatives to support image development and demand generation efforts.

· Influence the design of all marketing collateral, tools e.g. speeches, presentations, handouts, fact sheets, videos and externally approved credentials and references.

· Determine the need for marketing services resources and third party service providers e.g. agencies, designers, writers.

· Management of industry media and analyst relations content development, including the creation of compelling and timely materials to support outreach campaigns, briefings, report submissions, press announcements, etc, in co-ordination with Media & Analyst Relations teams.

 

· Identify and capitalize on new external and internal distribution channels for industry content and build strategic relationships with channel owners.

· Develop strategic positioning and external messages in support of all alliance relationships in the industry context.

· Lead the planning and execution of joint marketing and communications programs with alliance partners.

· Lead the cultivation of relationships with key marketing personnel to support image development and demand generation efforts and enable use of deliverables by client teams.

· Set the strategy for the use of metrics to assess effectiveness of industry marketing programs or initiatives.

· Accountable for investment and/or operations budget.

· Ensure that all global marketing policies and procedures are followed.

-Exceptional ability to sell in solutions, deal with ambiguity and navigate to closure.

-Message Development “blackbelt”.

-Well versed in applications for Internet/Interactive Marketing.

-Deep expertise and skills in strategic marketing and communications, especially in area of specialization or crossing several functional/technical areas.

-Expert in integrated marketing concepts and branding.

-Broad understanding of business marketplace and relationships with experts in area of specialization.

-Expert project management skills.

-Expert budget management and financial reporting skills, including large global budgets with multiple vendors and deliverables.

-Passion for well-executed deliverables in support of the business strategy.

-Superior negotiation, mediation and conflict management skills to resolve complex, high-risk, high-impact issues.

-Able to influence highest levels of leadership within consulting company’s large, matrixed organization through relationship building and strong executive-level presence.

- Proven leadership skills—team building, supervision, mentoring and managing of diverse and virtual teams.

-Ability to develop and apply creative and ingenious solutions to complex issues.

-Superior oral and written communications skills and presentation skills.

-Ability to work autonomously and independently, yet integrate appropriately with other areas within Marketing & Communications and other areas within the consulting company.
